It is also essential to check your psychological state occasionally and visit a neurologist regularly. Communication with a doctor, as well as diagnostics and tests, will help you stay calm.

It is essential to understand neurological disorders, be aware of them, and provide quick help. One of the most well-known neurological disorders is migraine and epilepsy. Other common diseases are sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and Alzheimer’s disease.

Detailed Analysis of Common Neurological Disordersmental-neurological-disorders

You should know what the most common neurological disorders are. Each disorder has its symptoms and its impact on the human body; here are the main ones:

  • Migraine. During this disease, a severe headache occurs. Vomiting, nausea, and sensitivity to external stimuli may be observed.
  • Epilepsy. The occurrence of seizures regularly has various effects on a person.
  • Parkinson’s disease. The appearance of balance problems, slow movements, and tremors are caused by this disease.
  • Multiple sclerosis. This disease is characterized by poor memory, fatigue, and cognitive changes.
  • Alzheimer’s disease. This progressive disease causes poor memory or memory loss, behavioral changes, and confusion.
  • Stroke. Numbness, confusion, inability to speak, and poor coordination.

Stroke – An Overview and Treatments

Stroke is one of the worst neurological diseases. Loss of coordination, inability to speak and move, and numbness in the limbs are symptoms of the disease. It is essential to understand that at the first signs of a stroke, you must see a doctor immediately. Blood flow to the brain is interrupted, and this quickly leads to the death of brain cells. When a stroke starts, see a doctor immediately. You will be given special devices that will destroy the blood clot.

Multiple Sclerosis – Explanation and Our Approach

It is essential to know that there are neurological disorders that affect vision. One of these disorders is multiple sclerosis, which is called an autoimmune disease. There are many symptoms of this disease; here are the most important ones:

  • Fatigue.
  • Problems with movement.
  • Problems with vision.
  • Cognitive changes.

This disease disrupts the connection between the body and the brain, which in turn causes progression. People with this condition often experience irritability, fatigue, and memory loss. You need to consult a doctor for diagnosis and receive psychological support regularly.

Epilepsy – Understanding Cause, Symptoms, and Our Therapies

Epilepsy is a neurological disorder that has symptoms of constant seizures. During this disease, the brain does not work correctly and sends impulses that trigger seizures. Depending on the gender of the person with epilepsy, symptoms can range from seizures to loss of consciousness. It’s crucial to recognize when you need the help of a neurologist. Prescribed treatment will significantly reduce the occurrence of seizures with particular medications. Dietary methods or devices for nerve stimulation are well suited.

Parkinson’s Disease – Comprehensive Insight and Treatment

One of the most widespread disorders of the nervous system is Parkinson’s disease. This disease affects a person’s movements and causes tremors and balance disorders. It is essential to understand that treatment should help to cope with the disease. Special devices are used to increase the level of dopamine in the brain. An excellent way to reduce symptoms and feel healthy is to change your lifestyle. Regular sleep, socializing, proper nutrition, and sports will help.

Alzheimer’s Disease – Simplified Explanation and Our Approach for Care

It’s important to understand that Alzheimer’s disease significantly impacts a person’s behavior, thinking, and memory. The neurological disorder occurs when brain cells die and communication is impaired. We do our best to help you. At the first onset of symptoms, we’re ready to provide a consultation for you at Lone Star Neurology

We analyze your data and medical history and create a further plan. The prescription of procedures and diagnosis is essential for a complete picture of the disease. We select an individualized treatment plan for each patient.

Decoding Rare Neurological Disorders

It should be understood that rare neurological diseases require careful study and analysis. Symptoms can vary greatly and be similar at the same time. Mental neurological disorders have a significant impact on your condition. Realizing what is happening to you and the proper treatment method will significantly help.

It is essential to know that if you have a rare neurological disease or disorder, you must always be in touch with your doctor. Communication with a neurologist and other doctors will help you cope with the disease.

Huntington’s Disease – What You Need to Know

Huntington’s disease refers to a genetic disorder that has a general negative impact on the human body. There is a rapid deterioration of physical, mental, and cognitive abilities. A person with this disease may behave differently and not realize it. Changes in behavior and general condition negatively affect the person. A timely visit to a doctor will ensure that you are thoroughly examined and prescribed treatment.

Lou Gehrig’s Disease (ALS) – Understanding its Complexity

It’s important to take charge of your health by scheduling regular doctor visits. Lou Gehrig’s disease is a serious disease that affects the nerve cells of the spinal cord and brain. This disorder has unpleasant consequences, so it is worth seeing a doctor in time. There is a loss of body control, muscle weakness, weakness, fatigue and paralysis. The treatment of this disease has its own approach, because the main thing is to eliminate the symptoms for further development.

Prion Diseases – Rare But Significant

One of the rare diseases is prion disease, which is caused by abnormal proteins. They have a substantial impact on the nervous system and the brain. With this disease, a person has a disturbed mental state and difficulties with movement. Such diseases have different ways of occurrence; here are the main ones:

  • Sudden onset.
  • Genetic occurrence.
  • Infections.

To overcome the disease, the patient must undergo a complete diagnosis with many stages. Only in this way can doctors understand how best to overcome the disease and prescribe treatment.

Living with Neurological Disorders

From time to time, you need a neurologic symptoms checker to understand your condition. Constant contact with family and friends helps not to think about troubles. Special groups and communities provide an opportunity to relieve stress and relax.

Just such an amazing staff that makes you feel like part of their family. I’ve been going there for over 5 years now... and each visit I get the very best care and treatments that I have ever received in the 20+ years that I’ve been dealing with severe debilitating migraines. Since i started seeing them the number of my migraines has dropped from 15-20 a month to 2-3 every 3 month. I highly recommend them …they will change your life!read more

Dr. Askari was very kind and explained everything so I could understand. The other staff were nice as well. I would... have gave 5 stars but I was a little taken aback when I checked in and had to pay 600.00 upfront. I think that should have been discussed in a appointment confirmation call or email just so I could have been prepared.read more

I was obviously stressed, needing to see a neurologist. The staff was so patient and Dr. Ansari was so kind. At one... point he told me to relax, we have time, when I was relaying my history of my condition. That helped ease my stress. I have seen 3 other neurologists and he was the only one who performed any assessment tests on my cognitive and physical skills. At one point I couldn't complete two assessments and got upset and cried. I was told, it's OK. That's why you're here. I was truly impressed, and super pleased with the whole experience!read more

Since my first post my thoughts have changed here. It's unfortunate. My doctor and PA were great, but the office staff... is horrible. They never call you back when they say they will, they misinform you, they cause you too much stress wondering what's going on, they don't keep you posted. They never answer the phone. At this point I've left four messages in the last week, and I have sent three messages. Twice from their portal and one direct email. No response. My appointment is on Monday morning at 8:30am, no confirmation on my insurance and what's going on. What the heck is going on, this is ridiculous!I've given up... the stress her office staff has put me through is just not worth it. You can do so much better, please clean house, either change out your office staff, or find a way for them to be more efficient please. You have to do something. This is not how you want to run your practice. It leaves a very bad impression on your business.read more

I love going to this office. The staff is friendly and helpful. The doctor is great. I am getting the best... neurological tests and treatment I have ever had. The only reason I did not give them a 5 star rating is because it is impossible to reach a live person at the office to reschedule appointments. Every time I have tried to get through to the office it says all people are busy and I am sent to a voicemail. If they could get their phone answering fixed, I would give them a strong 5 stars.read more

Let me start by saying that I have been coming here for years. Due to my autoimmune disease, I am in this office... once every three weeks for multiple hours at a time. The office is very clean and the staff very friendly. My only complaint would be there communication via phone. They aren't the best at responding if you leave a voicemail and expect a call back. I understand that this is prob just due to the sheer number of alls they receive daily. What I can say I like the best about the office are the people. Bobby who handles my infusions is great. I never have any issues with her setting up my infusions. She is very quick to reply to messages sent via text and if she were to leave then my whole opinion of the office may change. I also enjoy people like Matt, Lauren, and Jodi. I appreciate all that they do for me and without this team I'm not sure I would be as happy as I am to visit the office as frequently as I have to. Please ensure that these folks are recognized as they are what makes my visit to this office so tolerable :).read more
