Many people experience dizziness at some point in their lives. It often occurs suddenly and without warning. The reasons for this can be quite different and may have other symptoms. It is essential to understand why the dizziness occurs and what affects it. Usually, dizziness once in a long time does not cause serious problems. It can be caused by overwork, too much physical activity, or dehydration. Often a person can lose consciousness and feel dizzy from the heat. However, such a condition may not always be common and may not be hidden.

There are different factors of dizziness and some of them may indicate a disease. Sometimes, dizziness can occur due to problems with the ears and their inflammation. Low blood pressure can also cause dizziness and discomfort. Often, stress on a regular basis becomes a factor that causes this condition. It is also interesting to know why dizziness occurs in the morning and what it is connected with. In some cases, dizziness is not a serious problem. However, there are situations where this condition may indicate a severe illness. It is essential to look into the issue to understand why this condition occurs.

Why Dizziness Occurs: Common Causes

Why-Dizziness-Occurs_-Common

Many different factors often contribute to dizziness. It can be caused by various factors, some of which indicate problems in the body. Understanding why the dizziness occurs will help to treat it. It is possible to solve this problem if you pay attention and get treatment in time. It is important to understand what can cause this condition. Here are the main factors that affect the onset of dizziness:

  • Ear problems. Often, when a person has inflammation of the inner ear, dizziness can occur. Such a disease can start from freezing or infection. It is essential to start treatment in time to remove inflammation and avoid dizziness.
  • Dehydration. In summer, people tend to drink more water due to the heat. In cooler weather, the volume of water becomes less, and we are not thirsty. Dehydration can occur for many reasons, but it reduces the volume of blood in the body. The reaction to dehydration can be different, but the main consequence is dizziness.
  • Low blood pressure. The question why the dizziness occurs often arises. People who have problems with low blood pressure often experience dizziness. It is essential to treat this condition or maintain it to avoid constant dizziness.
  • Medications. Dizziness is often affected by taking certain medications that have this side effect. Some medications cause low blood pressure and dehydration. Such actions lead to dizziness and poor health. It is essential to take care of your health and seek medical attention in a timely manner.
  • Other. Many different reasons can cause such an unpleasant condition as dizziness. Sudden movements, extreme heat, and even anxiety and stress. These seemingly insignificant factors can cause dizziness. It is essential to understand that regular dizziness from minor risks can become a severe problem.

Why Dizziness Occurs in the Morning

It’s important to understand why dizziness occurs in the morning to know how to solve the problem. Dizziness after sleep can ruin your mood for the whole day. A person feels sick, maybe even nauseous. It is very unpleasant to wake up in the morning and feel this way. The appearance of dizziness in the morning is influenced by some factors that you should pay attention to. Here are the main ones:

  • Dehydration. During sleep, our body continues to work. Fluids can come out in different ways, such as sweat, breath, and tears. In the morning, we feel dizzy when we get out of bed. To avoid this effect, it is better to drink a glass of warm water in the morning. Also, during the day and in the evening, you need to provide yourself with a normal amount of fluid.
  • Blood pressure. Depending on our body, blood pressure is different for everyone. A sharp rise in the morning can cause dizziness. This is accompanied by a drop in pressure from waking up and getting out of bed.
  • Sleep disturbance. Another answer to why dizziness occurs in the morning is poor sleep. Improper conditions, such as a long or short sleep, can cause dizziness. It is important to adjust your sleep properly and consult a doctor if you have problems with it.
  • Medications. Dizziness can be the result of taking certain medications. Sleeping pills or sedatives have a great effect on dizziness. To reduce dizziness, it is better to talk to your doctor about taking drugs.
  • Anxiety. A common cause of dizziness after sleep is anxiety and stress. When we fall asleep, we usually think about problems and our lives. Also, after a hard, stressful day, a person feels gloomy and irritated. In the morning, you may feel dizzy because of anxiety and stress.

Why Dizziness Occurs When Lying Down

People often ask why dizziness occurs when lying down. In this state, we feel relaxed, and there shouldn’t be any problems. However, suddenly a person may feel dizzy. It negatively affects our condition, well-being, and mood. Dizziness can be caused by some reasons that prevent the onset of disease. Here are the main ones:

  • Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. Usually, dizziness occurs due to a change in the position of the otoliths. This condition does not cause pain, but it is very unpleasant due to the sharp dizziness. For a person in this state, it seems that everything is spinning around him.
  • Problem with the inner ear. Another cause of dizziness is problems with the inner ear. Meniere’s disease and vestibular neuritis are the cause of dizziness. Fluid accumulates in the ear, which can cause this condition.
  • Change of posture. It is essential to understand why and for what other reasons dizziness occurs when lying down. Changing your posture can cause an unpleasant sensation and dizziness. For example, you lie down on one side and turn over to the other or sit down. In this case, you may feel dizzy when you change your position abruptly.

Why Dizziness Occurs When Sleeping: Factors to Consider

Experiencing dizziness while sleeping is a very unpleasant experience. It causes anxiety, stress, pain, and an unpleasant mood and disrupts sleep. Some causes contribute to this unpleasant condition. These factors play an essential role when you experience dizziness. Understanding these factors can help identify the cause of dizziness. It will be possible for a person to start treatment or reduce this condition. Here are the main reasons why dizziness occurs when sleeping:

  • Sleeping positions. The first thing that can affect dizziness during sleep is your posture. In some positions, you can pinch nerves and create pressure. Such actions can cause dizziness, which is an unpleasant sensation. Sleeping on your back is usually beneficial, but it is important that your head is not too tilted.
  • Sleep apnea. Sleep apnea can cause dizziness. During sleep apnea, the brain does not receive enough oxygen. The person breathes intermittently and does not inhale the required amount of oxygen. Another cause of dizziness can be nightmares and poor sleep.
  • Medications. It is essential to understand why dizziness occurs when sleeping for other reasons. Certain sedative medications have a particular impact on sleep quality. They relieve anxiety and reduce stress. However, during sleep, a person may feel dizzy from the medication after waking up. While taking sedatives and sleep medications, you may feel lethargic and lose your balance. These conditions can lead to dizziness. It is important to take your medications under the supervision of your doctor and as prescribed.

Managing and Treating Dizziness: When to Seek Help

Managing-and-Treating

Understanding why dizziness occurs when sleeping and at other times is helpful. You can learn to manage and reduce dizziness. A visit to the doctor will also help you understand the causes of this condition. Treatment will help you feel good and live a full  life. Here are some top tips on how to treat dizziness and learn to manage your condition:

  • Self-care. The best way to reduce and avoid dizziness is to take control of your health. It is important to remember that drinking enough water and exercising are beneficial. It is also essential to control your psychological state. Stressful situations and anxiety can be the first step towards illness. Learn to control yourself and fight it. Do balance exercises and do not use different movements.
  • Lifestyle. It is important to understand why the dizziness occurs and how to deal with it. The best way to fight dizziness is to have a healthy lifestyle. Proper nutrition, physical activity, and healthy sleep are essential. Be aware of the dangers of alcohol and tobacco and limit yourself to these products. Visit your doctor regularly for preventive care.
  • Help. If you experience constant dizziness and pain, it is essential to consult a doctor. He will help you determine the cause of this condition and conduct an examination. The doctor will help you to deal with the problem and prescribe the proper treatment.

Conclusion: Navigating Your Dizziness Concerns

To treat and restore your health, you need to know why the dizziness occurs. This condition has a negative impact on our psyche, mood, and overall health. Managing dizziness can be challenging, but the improvements in your quality of life can be significant. You can try to start treatment without medication on your own. This approach will be useful if you don’t feel any pain when you feel dizzy. Regular sleep, exercise, and coordination exercises are the best choices. If you experience constant dizziness accompanied by pain, it is better to consult a doctor. You will be consulted, examined and prescribed the right treatment.

Just such an amazing staff that makes you feel like part of their family. I’ve been going there for over 5 years now... and each visit I get the very best care and treatments that I have ever received in the 20+ years that I’ve been dealing with severe debilitating migraines. Since i started seeing them the number of my migraines has dropped from 15-20 a month to 2-3 every 3 month. I highly recommend them …they will change your life!read more

Dr. Askari was very kind and explained everything so I could understand. The other staff were nice as well. I would... have gave 5 stars but I was a little taken aback when I checked in and had to pay 600.00 upfront. I think that should have been discussed in a appointment confirmation call or email just so I could have been prepared.read more

I was obviously stressed, needing to see a neurologist. The staff was so patient and Dr. Ansari was so kind. At one... point he told me to relax, we have time, when I was relaying my history of my condition. That helped ease my stress. I have seen 3 other neurologists and he was the only one who performed any assessment tests on my cognitive and physical skills. At one point I couldn't complete two assessments and got upset and cried. I was told, it's OK. That's why you're here. I was truly impressed, and super pleased with the whole experience!read more

Since my first post my thoughts have changed here. It's unfortunate. My doctor and PA were great, but the office staff... is horrible. They never call you back when they say they will, they misinform you, they cause you too much stress wondering what's going on, they don't keep you posted. They never answer the phone. At this point I've left four messages in the last week, and I have sent three messages. Twice from their portal and one direct email. No response. My appointment is on Monday morning at 8:30am, no confirmation on my insurance and what's going on. What the heck is going on, this is ridiculous!I've given up... the stress her office staff has put me through is just not worth it. You can do so much better, please clean house, either change out your office staff, or find a way for them to be more efficient please. You have to do something. This is not how you want to run your practice. It leaves a very bad impression on your business.read more

I had such a good experience with Lone Star Neurology, Brent my MRI Tech was so awesome and made sure I was very... comfortable during the appointment. He gave me ear plugs, a pillow, leg support and blanket, easiest MRI ever lol 🤣 My 72 hour EEG nurse Amanda was also so awesome. She made sure I was take care of over the 3 days and took her time with the electrodes to make sure it was comfortable for me! Paige was also a huge help in answering all my questions when it came to my test results, and letting me know her honest opinions about how I should go forth with my treatment.read more

The professionalism and want to help attitude of this office was present from the moment I contacted them. I love going to this office. The staff is friendly and helpful. The doctor is great. I am getting the best... neurological tests and treatment I have ever had. The only reason I did not give them a 5 star rating is because it is impossible to reach a live person at the office to reschedule appointments. Every time I have tried to get through to the office it says all people are busy and I am sent to a voicemail. If they could get their phone answering fixed, I would give them a strong 5 stars.read more

Let me start by saying that I have been coming here for years. Due to my autoimmune disease, I am in this office... once every three weeks for multiple hours at a time. The office is very clean and the staff very friendly. My only complaint would be there communication via phone. They aren't the best at responding if you leave a voicemail and expect a call back. I understand that this is prob just due to the sheer number of alls they receive daily. What I can say I like the best about the office are the people. Bobby who handles my infusions is great. I never have any issues with her setting up my infusions. She is very quick to reply to messages sent via text and if she were to leave then my whole opinion of the office may change. I also enjoy people like Matt, Lauren, and Jodi. I appreciate all that they do for me and without this team I'm not sure I would be as happy as I am to visit the office as frequently as I have to. Please ensure that these folks are recognized as they are what makes my visit to this office so tolerable :).read more
