Ann Bass, MD
Dr. Ann Bass is excited to join Lone Star Neurology, based in Dallas/Fort Worth, at its first location here in San Antonio, Texas, starting in June 2024. Previously, Dr. Bass has been the medical director of the comprehensive multiple sclerosis clinic at the Neurology Center of San Antonio in Texas since 1997. She served as an adjunct assistant professor of neurology at the University of Texas Long Medical School until 2020, where she also completed her medical school education in 1993 and neurology residency in 1997. Dr. Bass has approximately 2,000+ patients with multiple sclerosis and other related CNS demyelinating disorders, such as neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder, under her neurological care and management. She has been a principle investigator in multiple MS clinical trials, serves as author or coauthor on numerous MS publications, and is a well-recognized national and international speaker on multiple sclerosis and its related topics for more than 25 years. Dr. Bass also serves on the Healthcare Advisory Committee for the South Central Region of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS) and has been instrumental in legislative processes to broaden access to MS therapies for patients in Texas.
