Lone Star Neurology Proudly Sponsored The Walk to End Alzheimer’s

Lone Star Neurology

Lone Star Neurology, in partnership with others in the Dallas-Ft. Worth community, sponsored the Walk to End Alzheimer’s this past Saturday at The Colony, Texas. The walk raised a total of over $365,000 to lead the way in finding a cure for Alzheimer’s. If you have a loved one who has been afflicted with Alzheimer’s disease, you understand the seriousness of this condition.

We’ve been excited this year to have both teams and individuals raise funds for research to help diminish the effects of Alzheimer’s. The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the largest event in the world to help raise awareness of the disease, its effects on individuals, and how families can get the care and support they need for their loved ones. When you participate in Walk to End Alzheimer’s – a philanthropy that happens in over 600 communities nationwide – you are a part of something big.

Lone Star Neurology understands firsthand the devastating effects that this disease, and other associated memory conditions, can have on people. That’s why we make it easy for our Walk participants to customize their fundraising, from online tools to help announce your participation to secure, online donation sites and easy to use tools for participants to create a team, find a team to join, or simply walk solo.

The Walk also offered special prizes to individuals and teams that raise at least $100, including a chance to go to a taping of the Oprah Winfrey Show. Each $100 that you raise will earn you an opportunity to win tickets to see a live taping of the show.

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is big in Dallas, and Lone Star Neurology is proud to be a sponsor for this event. While this year’s Walk is over, we have big plans for 2020! And you still have the opportunity to give, including creating your own custom Facebook page through the Walk to End Alzheimer’s site, linking you and your participants to the national site and making it easier for you to reach out to your friends and community to spread awareness.
